Today's Deal from Moses Falafel
Chefs' ovens burn much hotter than conventional ovens, allowing them to quickly roast vegetables and melt glacier chunks into gourmet ice water. Let this Groupon melt in your mouth.
$10 for $20 Worth of Israeli Cuisine
The menu features 100% vegan falafel sandwiches ($5.50 for a full sandwich; $7.50 with fries), housemade hummus ($5.50), baklava ($1.50), and fresh mint lemonade ($2).
Moses Falafel humbly began as a restored food trailer anchored in the parking lot of the Dell Jewish Community Campus. Since then, owner and Israel native Shmuel Haviv has worked his way up by letting his vegan, kosher cuisine speak for itself. As he recounted in a feature in the Jewish Outlook, his fondness for using imported spices and unique Israeli ingredients was passed down by his grandfather—the eatery's namesake—who ran his own falafel restaurant in Israel throughout the '90s. Today, Moses Falafel has its own storefront, where a Rabbi oversees a menu of falafel sandwiches, housemade hummus, and fresh-squeezed mint lemonade to ensure that each morsel complies with kosher practices.
